Mamallapuram Mamallapuram: (50 Km) It is famous for its shore temple. Mamallapuram covers an area of approximately 8 sq km, but it’s easy to visit the places of interest on foot.

Sri Ekambaranathar Temple
Sri Ekambaranathar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the largest in Kanchipuram. Its 59m-high gopuram and massive outer stone wall were constructed in 1509 by King Krishnadevaraya.

Sri Kamakshi Amman Temple
Sri Kamakshi Amman Temple is dedicated to the goddess Parvati in her guise as Kamakshi, The Goddess who accedes to all requests.

Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary: (100 Km) this Sanctuary is an important breeding ground for water birds: cormorants, egrets, herons, ibis, spoon-bills, storks, grebes and pelicans all migrate here from October to March. At the height of the breeding season (December and January) there can be up to 30,000 birds.

Pondicherry: (140 Km) Pondichery, the former French colony settled in the early 18th century, is a charming coastal town with a few enduring pockets of French Culture, and an ashram.

Thirupathi Tirupathi : ( 160 Km) The ancient and sacred temple of Sri Venkateswara is located on the seventh peak, Venkatachala (Venkata Hill) of the Tirupati Hill, and lies on the southern banks of Sri Swami Pushkarini.
